Anti-Aging vs Longevity
Television commercials, magazine advertisements, social media. "Erase wrinkles." "Look 10 years younger." "Defeat aging." -- Anti-aging advertising portrays aging as the enemy.
But pause and consider: is it truly a "bad thing" for skin to change over time?
Skin at 20 and skin at 40 are certainly different. But that difference is also a testament to 20 years of life lived. What truly matters is not "restoring skin to its 20-year-old state" but rather "ensuring that your skin is healthy right now."
The term "anti-aging" literally means "against aging" (anti = opposition). In contrast, the increasingly prominent concept of "Skin Longevity" is the philosophy that skin remains healthy for the long term.
Not turning back the clock, but protecting your skin from today forward. Maintaining a better condition than yesterday. This difference in thinking fundamentally changes how you select skincare.
